Default gas gauge stays at E

I put gas in my truck but the gauge doesn't move. Any ideas how to fix it?

Could be a wire issue or the sending unit is bad

yeah, sounds like an issue with the wiring. My dad had the same issue with spedo. It totally stopped working for a week until he drove over a speed bump really hard and it suddenly started working again.
