Location of solenoid and starter...where?

Trying to troubleshoot my truck is not starting and in the process figured these 2 could be the culprits. I however have no idea what/where to look for these. Could not find anything worthwhile googling...so hoping someone has some pictures or diagrams they could share.

solenoid is on the drivers side inner fender , between the battery andn the fuse block , the starter is on the drivers side of the engine , you can just see the tail of the starter from the top ,looking down from the drivers side ,
