Unhappy Help me diagnose problem! 94 Ford Ranger

Hello, I own a 1994 Ford Ranger. 3.0L, 6 cy, 2wd. 265K miles.

About 6 months ago the truck began kind of gasping I guess while running. It will happen in gear or in neutral. When it is in the low part of the gasp (for lack of better wording) the car shakes a bit and has even turned off while at a stop light. The truck never has issues firing back up however.

Mind you, I know very little about automobiles, this is in fact why I joined the forum. I haven't changed the plugs & wires in ages, I thought that could be the issue, but something tells me it's more electrical/air/computer? The truck will also sometimes rev high while driving, then calm back down to the normal in and out gasp thing.

This link below is a video I took on my tablet of the truck while running, so you can hear the issue in action. Any help would be awesome!
