I seem to have a unique problem with my keyless entry system on my 2009 4 Cyl Ford Ranger XLT. One day my fob stopped working and I figured maybe the battery had gone dead so I went to a parts store and the tester there said the battery was good so I decided to follow the steps and try reprogramming the fob.

I got the trucks locks to cycle and I pressed the fob button and low and behold the locks cycled again which I took to mean the truck was now reprogramed, however; when I exited the truck the fob still didn't work. I tried this again later with my secondary fob from when I bought the truck and again the truck seemed to recognize it in programming mode but not afterwards. My locks work fine with the door buttons so it isn't like the locks can't go up and down.

Any advice?
