overheating when AC is on and engine ticking
Hey, my engine has had a ticking sound since i had a new head put on about 15,000 miles ago. Can't tell if it effects anything, but its really annoying sound. It more consistent with the rpms going up. higher rpms quicker ticking/pinging
an issue that is bugging me now is with the A/C. When i turn on the A/C on hot days, the car overheats after a few minutes, not so bad on freeway, but in stop and go it gets pretty bad and i just turn off the A/C and it works.
a few weeks ago, i drained my radiator and ran water through it for about 15-20 minutes, checked my thermostat which i had changed at the end of last summer, and looked for anything in the radiator, which looked clear. I replaced a T plug connecting a hose from the radiator going to the dash because it cracked and was squirting water and causing me to over heat, but now it doesnt overheat until i turn on the A/C. I recharged the A/C last week, but i did not clear out the last refrig, i just re filled it.
any help would be great.
