2005 supercab 3.0, 2 wheel drive max weight capacity in bed 6 mile trip
Hey y'all need to know what my ranger can handle in the bed for a 6 mile trip. I know it's rated as a half ton pickup correct me if I'm wrong but I've had 1900 in my half ton Dakota 4 wheel drive. What could I get away w for a short trip it has to be over a 1000 pounds. May seek like a silly question but it does have a purpose to me y'all's help and opinion would be greatly appreciated ! I'm leaning towards 1400 what y'all think more or less it would be a pallet of quickrete I can position the bags of it differently to achieve most weight ie close to cab not over axle to achieve max weight.

Go ahead but don't bitch when your truck breaks..it's not meant to handle that weight...it can't do the work of a 3/4 or 1/2 ton...its unsafe

Ford website 1260 pound pay load in the bed bubba. That's what it says for the year they started all the way up till 2011. The ranger classifies as a half ton pickup truck are you telling me that's in accurate? I'm not traveling cross country w this weight literally 5 miles max at 30mph.

No, you're being unsafe. The truck is not designed for your misuse, it is a tiny vehicle

Alright buddy Ima guess your a guy that drives a truck that don't ever put nothing in the back of it! If the ford website says payload 1260 that's including passengers it's a half ton pick up man.

Dude your truck can travel safely with more than 500lbs in the bed. I doubt that the owners manual says 500lbs for the max capacity.
