Just found out from the dealer that the reason my truck is not pumping out cold air is because my high pressure a/c line is leaking. They quoted me $615 to fix it. Is this a job that I could take on with the right tools or is it best a mechanic does it? It seems very expensive? What do you guys think?

call around to some of the local hose making shops an see if they are making ac lines. there will be some 1 who can either make or repair them.

You need a special machine to remove and refill the ac. I'd say if nothing else have them remove your refridgerant, I don't know what year your truck is since you don't have a sig that says it, but it's either r12 or r134a, then fix the line yourself, take it back and have them put the gas back in. But best bet just have them do it. Then it's warrantied if it goes wrong
