Default Camshaft synchronizer help

Have a 1994 ford ranger 3.0 Vulcan and I cannot find the camshaft synchronizer. I cannot find and schematics of the 94 3.0 engine or any installation videos, does this engine even have a cam sync? Please help. Thanks

Yes it does. Don't search model year specific. All 3.0s have them in the same spot.

Go to www.bbbind.com .

Select TSB Database, then Wiring Diagrams. Enter your truck info. From there you can choose what Category you need. It's all there, including wire colors to help you trace problems.

There are 75-100 wiring diagrams for your truck. Also included are several diagrams of external engine components, just like you are looking for.

Very back of the engine block on DIS trucks. If your truck had a distributor, then the camshaft sync is literally the bottom half of the distributor. That's what a cam sync is.

The syncro is the distributor itself then. Sans cap and rotor.

However the distributor is not an issue. It does not need to be replaced. He is all set.
