I have a 2002 ranger that I drilled some holes in the stock air cleaner box to give it less restriction as apposed to spending $300 on a cold air intake. The truck might sell tomorrow and I am worried about whether this will affect the outcome of my smog test or not. Reply your answers ASAP. Thanks in advance!

I'm not 100% certain, hopefully someone else will chime in. But you shouldn't be throwing any codes, and didnt mess with exhaust. You're just trying to get more air in up front. I don't see how it could fail smog

No you shouldn't fail. But not sure how the guy will think about drilling holes in the air box haha... Best of luck to you!

I can't comment on your smog pass/fail, but You really should remove your phone number. Sorry, I am a computer tech/security guy, and even tho we are all friends here, its open to a Google Search, and not everyone out there is... well nice.

cant say either way but holes in an air box will not be the cause of the failure if it does.
