^^^Up 2 ^^^ No so on my 04, it uses two of the exact same sensors on the t-stat housing and thus, the same profile of female plug on each. They both seat and seal via o-ring and are held in position by a horseshoe shaped clip; remove via needle nose pliers and don't drop it. OP, I don't know which one is which and I don't know why you need to replace one (gauge or PCM + DTC issue), but simple diagnostics are in order. Try disconnecting the left one and see if that's the one you need to replace. Depending on what happens, you may need to clear a DTC from the PCM whn done.

Dunno, but for conversation I defined that earlier. I don't know which is which, you need to either spend the time to read into it in the Ford factory manual (should be there), hope someone knows, or spend 5 minutes doing the diagnostics I just described.
