Re: please help with my choice on which ranger to buy
I have the 1994 4.0 ranger with a 5 speed. I got the truck with 87,000 miles on it and there were 257,000 miles on it when I rebuilt the motor. the motor didn't really need it it would have taken me a lot farther but I decided to twin turbo and this motor now has 50,000 miles on it. still same 5 speed never have had leaks with turbos or before and tranny is still as strong as the day I got the truck. If I had the choice I would do it all again. maybe I'm just lucky but this truck has never done me wrong. good luck with your search.
