After 18 years of outstanding and exemplary service my 1993 Ranger SVO is being retired. Its amazing that after 210,000 miles the truck still runs just as good as the day I bought it in 1995.
The Ranger will still be driven, but not more than a 100 - 200 miles a month.
List of thing that broke and that had to be repaired.
1. EGR valve and EVPS sensor (2 years ago)
2. Ignition control module (3 1/2 years ago)
3. Front coil pack (9 years ago)
4. Transmission seal (it was leaking, last year)
5. Hose around filler neck. (5 years ago)
6. Electric Cooling fan ( last month)
Everything else was basic maintenence, spark plugs and plug wires, timing belt, fuel filter etc...
A 2013 Sonata now sits in the Rangers position and it has a lot to live up to. Can it perform as well as the Ranger?
