May also look into a ladder rack, if you are just going to be hauling little at a time.
Theyre available in different widths usually.

This isnt just a US forum, we welcome Ranger owners from anywhere in the world. It would be great to get a good number of Euro Ranger owners here.

Honestly, if I were you I'd get a bigger truck. If you get a ranger with a short bed, or even a long bed, you're constantly going to be having issues fitting things in there. Don't get me wrong, you can fit a lot in there if you're good at tetris, but it's a pain in the rear and wet weather puts a damper on things.

A solid 8ft bed with an extended height camper top would be the way to go, that way you can keep your stuff dry and put more then a few sheets in the bed. Also, I'm not sure what engines are more common around the UK, but i'm only getting 18-20 mpgs with the 4.0 liter engine. In other words, the mileage isn't that great, the bed space is rotten, and the cab is cramped for a 6 ft tall guy. Good for small projects but that's bout it.

I think that the UK ranger is supposed to be just a little smaller then our F150, and come with the diesel options.

I dont think theres many other truck options there is there? I looked of Ford.uk and it was either Ranger or Transit with a flat bed.

----------

Looked it up, the overseas ranger, 2013+, is roughly 7/8 the size of an F150. Something else for US owners to consider
