Fast and the furious mini truck style.
Just a thought but wouldn't that be cool if they made a fast and furious movie with Mini trucks? Using ford rangers s10s and nissan hardbodys

It would never happen cause they know Mini trucks rule over ricers.

Re: Fast and the furious mini truck style.
Id like to see the scene recreated at the end of the movie where the dodge charger pops up on two wheels, except with a custom turbo diesel ranger. Since in that movie that is the only non riced out car, it just screams "american muscle" and looks classic. That would be sick! Except instead of crashing, it just monster trucks a smart car. It would win best man movie of the year award.

Re: Fast and the furious mini truck style.
I've built Hondas, my 3 subys, mitsu's, a kia that a buddy had (you ever see a Sedona with a body kit? Crazy Canadian guy had one lol), VW, Audi, I've helped build all kinds. I hate most of them, but they can be fun. I drive trucks though lol that's how I roll.

Re: Fast and the furious mini truck style.
That would be kool yes but it would hurt the mini truck market in a very bad way. The 5th movie is already under production and no telling what it's going to feature. Fast & Furious 4 was good because most of it featured "American Muscle" through out the entire film instead of bits and parts like in the past. Here's what would happen if they did come out with one featuring mini trucks. SHOP OWNERS TAKE NOTES BECAUSE THAT MOVIE CAUSE ALOT OF PROBLEMS FOR MY SHOP. Basicly some dumb kid will see the movie and then show up wanting to "modify" his or her ride. They already know what they want just from seeing the movie and IN THEIR MINDS ONLY, they know all about what they want when in reality they don't know shit. I had kid show up here wanting to do a nitrous system, twin turbos, a full blown racing clutch on a brand new Evo 9 at the time for less than a $1,000 dollars. Number one problem with this senario is I'm authorized and trained for basic repairs only and Ford authorized only from bumber to bumper. Number 2: a $1,000 dollars won't even come close to what he wanted not to mention the labor (he was saying it can all be done in 1 day, without the parts being here). Number 3: that was a brand new Evo 9 with temporary tags still on it. If i were to work on his car and not being Mitsu certified would VOID HIS WARRANTY. Hell, I couldn't even change the oil in it without voiding the warranty. That would happen to any and all mini trucks if they did that. Plus the mini trucks would increase in price ot the point to where no one could afford them, and all used mini trucks would turn into rolling piles of shit once a ricer gets a hold of something all bets are off.

That happend...
That's one senario that happened here. This is why I'm glad I don't have a shop anymore. people who usually came to me that are seriously wanting to modify their rides look at all possibilities and listen to what I have to say and map everything out before the first bolt is removed or even tagged. Most of my tools were stolen and the ones that wasn't stolen were sold including the building alond with my lifts. On occasion I still get a kid that doesn't know one end of a vehicle from another but they disappear rather quickly when they find out that I'm not going to modify their ride. I had one cat's parents call here upset wondering why until I told them what he wanted then they changed their minds and say thanks after I eplain to them why not.

Re: Fast and the furious mini truck style.
I've seen a lot of dumb things like kids asking for something they know nothing about. I remember when the F&F movies came out, all of a sudden every kid with a fart pipe thought he was a street racer. I used to street race, those boys gotten eaten alive. And everybody with a busted honda thought they could get 1000 bucks for a pile of crap. I got news for you, not worth it!!! lol but we that own Rangers, are a smarter breed and knew that already lol I did make stupid money off some of the kids building them though. I used to pull Honda motors out of cars almost every 3 weeks or so for people because I had a knack for finding them lol

I know right. It would boost ranger sales no doubt probably enough for Ford to consider keeping it and coming out with a new design. After the 3rd F&F movie hit 2 shops opened up here based on the car you see in the final race. How can you take a classic 70's model fast back restore it and put in a Nissan rice burner engine in it? That hurt in bad way. I had 2 nissan engines here yanked out for some much needed rebuilding. They never made it to my trusted machine shop. Both were sold as is for $4,000 bucks each. Both were worth approx. $500 bucks each if they ran which they didn't. Those guys were supreme idiots. But they got what they wanted and I raked in a huge bundle. Those 2 shops are now closed down for sorry workmanship and bad business practices. The courts shut them down.

I can't stand the fact guys that do shoddy workmanship. You're paid to be a professional, do it right the first time!!! That's why we pay someone else to do it and not do it ourselves.
I wish Ford would keep the Ranger. You have to be doing something right to sell the same body 17 years in a row and have consistent sales. Plus for those of us that don't regularly need a fullsize, they are great pickups. I want another full size but not until I have a need, and then I'll buy a one ton dually, so I can haul anything. I'll still be driving my Ranger or Sonoma everyday because they get better mileage.
