1998 Ranger for a great price
Just recently picked up a 1998 ranger XLT, 2wd, A/C, camper top, auto transmission, and only 15k miles......for 1200 dollars !I flew from my home in N/W Fla to S Jersey and picked it up and drove it back to Fla.Bought it from an elderly gentleman in my home town where i grew up and then left for the military in 1976. The old gentleman remembered me and knew my family, so when he heard i was interested in buying his truck, he gave me a really great deal...The old fella only drove about 1200 miles a year, the interior looks brand new etc. Only bummer is no cruise control, but thats not a problem.Anyway i am new to the forum, looking forward to talking with you folks.

Thanks ! Well the only thing i have decided to do to it was to replace the upper and lower control arms because i noticed the ball joint bushings etc were very deteriorated from the truck not being driven very often, and from the salt brine they put on the roads up there in the winter time.I put new upper and lower control arms, and new shocks on it last weekend.Everything else looks excellent !I also put new oil and filter, fuel filter, and replaced the radiator fluid.I feel like i got a 12 yr old new truck now !It now has 17k miles on it.
