Do Cops have anything better to do in MD?

I got pulled over on my way home from work tonight because my headlights were yellow. I know these are illegal yet I have had them for 3 years now and not once got a look! Ridiculous! And I would like to know why they don't pull over those people with the purple headlights; at least with mine you can still see in front of you. Ugh just had to vent.....

Ummm.. If you knew they were illegal, then why are you bitching? Grow up, you broke the law. It's there for a reason, you're probably one of those little fuckers I wanna pistol whip on a daily basis bc your ricey yellow or blue hid's look retarded and are too bright and out of adjustment aiming straight in my windshield. Word of advice, change your lights, pay your fine and shut up.

If you got a ticket, that sucks...but 9 times out of 10, if you get pulled over for something like that, show reciepts of you buying headlights that day or the next, and your old lights, they will dismiss the fine in court...You also have to act like you didnt know it was illegal...Happened to my buddy for clear tailights on his ranger and my other buddy on his 69 chevy...The guy with the 69 chevy brought in reciepts and his old tail covers and they waved the fine. My buddy with the ranger brought pics of his stock ones back on and his old tail lights and they waved the fines. (getting a cool judge in a good mood also helps.)

I also agree with edgeman, you broke the law, you knew they were illegal....and they are lame, ESPECIALLY since most people dont aim them right and they blind oncoming traffic.

Nah Im not a fuckin ricer. I live around a lot of two lane roads and the yellows show up so much better. I don't even have foglights. And plus I take care of my car, so stop your damn preaching and stfu. But I only got a repair order and no fine. Im getting my uncle to sign off on it.

Your uncle the cop? is he going to sign that you actually changed the bulbs in the headlights, or is he going to just sign the paper, saying you changed the bulbs, when you really didn't?

yea seeing ricers with 3k heads and 6k fogs makes me laugh my ass off too. before i got my license i used to have to walk my ass everywhere when i went out with friends, and one day we saw this ricer get pulled over and he was tryin to argue with the cop that he didnt know they were illegal. he ended up sitting on the curb in handcuffs while they popped his hood and trunk lookin for illegal mods lol

I'm not sure why you're getting so bent out of shape, you got away with something that is blatantly illegal (and something you knew was illegal and easy to spot) for 3 years.... you should be happy it lasted that long.

Why don't cops pull over cars with the people with purple lights? What's to say they don't? They probably get pulled over every few years or so too....

It's not a big deal. It's obviously illegal, you can be a quarter mile away from your truck and see the law being broken, no one bothered you for 3 years about it.... and now you have to pay what... $20? Not sure why your so upset.

BTW, IMHO, the reason you got pulled over was because it was a Friday night. The cop was probably hoping or suspecting something bigger (EG: DUI, drugs, etc.) and used the headlight violation to pull you over.

exactly, all you have there is a reason for them to pull you over anytime they want

example: COP: huh there is a truck driving around at 2AM on friday night. Not doing anything wrong but hey those lights are illegal so that gives me a reason to see what he is doing and see if he has been drinking

well they had a reason, i could see if you were going like 3 over and pulled you over then id be bitchin too.
but i understand ur gripe about it, i straight piped my truck awhile ago knowing its illegal. but ive never gotten pulled over for that.
not sure why yellow lights are illegal though, thats pritty lame.
though cops are dumb here they stop kids for dumb reasonss when they should really be going after more important things. but otherwise the yellow head lights, atleast he had a reason not like he pulled you over for no reason. no offence.

yep np.. shoot theres times i shoulda been arested and thrown in jail for speeding, use to have a sentra ser, goin bout 130. i could understand if i got pulled over then lol =].
ive never heard of yellow lights bein illegal. shoot theres some stalk lights on cars that are like brights, i cant see shit. and ive seen yellow lights there not bad.

I guess yall just dont understand. The cop was going after something bigger. If the OP had 10 pounds of dope on him, then the cop would have been a hero...But since he didnt, the cops just an *******? Cops dont have anything better to do until they get called. If they dont get called, they look for any reason to pull you over so that they can "look for something bigger."
