92 Ranger with 288,000

I'm looking for some feedback regarding purchasing a used Ranger. The truck in question is a 92 extended cab with 288,000 km on it for $1800. Comments on buying a truck that's just shy of 300,000km?

Rangers aren't unknown to last up to 500,000 miles, It all depends on how they're treated. 1800$ sounds a bit much but it's your choice.

notice that he is talking KM not miles (288000 Km = 170000 miles) and he is in Canada so the deal may not be bad. I dont know what the prices there are like. Randy

the wholesale value on my 96 is listed at 1025 , the retail was listed at 2375,that was at 245 000 kms on it , I paid 1800 for it . I was say pass on the 92

Pretty high price for a 92 with nearly 300k km. You should be able to do better.

I wouldnt pay more than $1000 for that...Most people dont sell their cars because they run like a top...You would be super pissed to pay that much for such an old truck just for the trans to flop or something a couple months after buying it.
