Question Air intake and exaust questions

A) Can you gain more power from your engine if you make the pipe coming off the air intake shorter and closer to the engine or is it better to add pipe to it and run it to the cold air outside? How big of a pipe is too big?

B) How do you attach a cherry bomb glasspack exaust?

A) Short Ram intakes will not provide much if any gain for our trucks and would require a lot of work to get them to function properly as the location to make a short ram would put the air filter in the middle of the engine bay. A cold air intake is made for our trucks by K&N, however it is still in the engine bay, not sure how they can actually call it cold air.

B) Glasspack would have to either be welded on or you can use clamps if you do not want to pay for it to be welded.

a shorter intake will not help get a intake adapter, they work great and far cheaper that K&Ns kit. and much better that some of the China kits out thereFord Ranger, Mazda B 2.3 2.5 3.0 cold air intake :eBay Motors (item 220414297713 end time May-20-09 14:24:24 PDT)
