I hate the final part of my exhaust system because it is disconnected from the muffler and still connected on the hanger.. and bops on the axle when I'm going over a bump. Also.. I'd love an aux port..

Today I really hate the previous owner of my Ranger.

I have been working when I can to remove the crappy spray bomb paint job he did to the wheels of my Ranger.

I was kind of annoyed that he didn't bother taping of the tires at least before painting them or even cleaning the wheels.

Yet today while working on getting the spray paint off one of the tires, I managed to get the majority of the paint from the tire to reveal a dry rot circle that nearly went all the way around the bead area.

Now I have to wonder if the spray paint caused this, or if the idiot painted the tires to hide the dryrot.

This damn truck is like 2 steps forward and ten back all because of the punk previous owner.

If I saw the previous owner on fire and screaming for help I wouldn't even piss on him to try and put the fire out.

This just happened to me on Saturday, it rusted off. So I grinded the piece going through the hanger off and just took the tailpipe off. The noise was driving me crazy.

Thanks, getting the paint off the chrome is pretty easy, since the kid did no prep work at all and just spray bombed the wheels and bumpers.

I just used some aircraft stripper and some elbow grease.

I was surprised to see that the chrome under the layers of spray paint was in next to new condition.

I am just pissed about the tires, I was planning on changing the tires and wheels and storing the OEM wheels once I wore out the current tires. ( giving me time and fiances to repair everything else that is needed )

Yet I do not trust these tires with my wife driving this truck on occasion.

So I have to switch gears and make tires and wheels a priority.

No big deal really I just hate to think someone could have tried to cover up a problem like this with paint or that the paint could have caused the dry rot.

Either way I am disappointed at myself for not spotting it sooner.

If left the wheels alone I am positive I would have missed the dry rot until a tire blew out on I95

I guess I cant get too mad since I did catch the problem before I put the truck on the road.

Haha, I'm thinking about just having one of the neighbors patch it back together.. That way the muffler doesn't bop against the bottom of the bed

If it was simple, anyone could do it.

I was thining of reattaching somehow, but figured if i took it off and threw it away it would give me an excuse to buy a new muffler as well. Been thinking about replacing it anyway. Doesn't look like its gonna last much longer itself.

I hate that I'm at work, instead of working on my Ranger. Does that count?
