$80 for a fucking plastic bottle!? ARE YOU KIDDING?
You would think they could at least toss in a new cap for it too but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THATS EXTRA!
Fuck a guy in the ass at least give him a reach around, know what I'm saying?

i lol'ed.
But in all seriousness, yeah parts are incredibly expensive. Ironic how the valance (fourth gen), shipped to my door is 50 bucks. Strange.

2nd one on the page. Will save you $30 at least.
I think these bottles go bad more by heatcycles than age. My 2002 JUST started to develop a few cracks at the cap. I dont think its actually leaking yet (since I did a pressure test on the cooling system which passed perfectly), but still. I will never understand why ford decided to use so much plastic on the cooling system of these trucks..

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
Hate the fu..ing oem Rancho shocks on my truck! They are too stiff!!! Almost killed myself last weekend going down a gravel road when the stupid electronic ''anti-slip'' just LOCK the rear wheels for no reason because the rear axel was bouncing like crasy trying to get traction on stupid little bumps, kicking the truck sideways.... GOING DOWNHILL!!!!!!!! Fuc..ng downhill!! I don't even want to talk going uphill afterward........
Time to save for some Bilstein!!!
PS:My wife was with me in the truck, now SHE want me to put Bilstein on the truck! Victory! Christmas is coming...

False. Plus, not all Bilstein shocks are "off-road".

Edit - offroad shocks are stiffer than those made for normal everyday applications.

Actually the bigger problem is the electronic nannies that should not b e on the truck in the first place. The best shocks I ever ran were the factory level II. Bilsteins.

Exactly the one i want, the oem Bilsteins of the Fx4 Level 2!
My dad have a Ranger Fx4 Lvel 2 and his 2006 truck ride a lot better then mine off-road. They are pricey, almost double then any other, but they are good for almost 100 000 miles!

Probably much longer than 100,000 miles. My OEM Motorcrafts were still pretty good after 140,000

Doesn't the level 2 come with 4600's? Those aren't that great.

The level 2 bilstiens were specially valved for the ranger.. According to ford at least. If you go to a dealership and price them, you will shit yourself.
Now what do I hate about my ranger today?
I started my 200 mile trip home and the e fan decided to quit on me. Stopped at my usual junkyard but couldn't find a Taurus or mark VIII fan. I did find a very nice looking fan out of a mustang. Looks like it might work better than the Taurus fan. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.
