Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
Let's see. Took both seats out and pressure washed them. While I had them out, I lopped off the middle seat, so I finally have just two bucket seats. Swept and clean the carpet again, freshened her up on the inside and put the seats back in. Painted the radio bezel, painted the little plastic bolt covers for the back bolts on the seats, for shits and giggles. Did the blinker mod (half way I guess) and did the headlight mod. I have been pretty busy today.
I'll post details and pictures in my project log if anyone cares to look.

Damnit. This is what happens when you use the app 99% of the time. I was clearly looking for the what did you do thread. Use the website one time in a month and I fuck shit up.

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
This damn thing refuses to cooperate today! Thought I'd replace the rear ABS/VSS sensor. Nope, refuses to get out of the diff no matter how hard I try. Alright, let's do something else. Tried the airbox mod, but surprise surprise, that wouldn't come out either!
I pulled and pulled and pulled some more, but it never came loose. I don't even care about that stupid abs light anymore. I may just leave the cable hang there until it rots off.

Gotta spray lube in where the bottom of the box fits into the sheetmetal. Did you read the how-to ?

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
^ Yeah I did. Unfortunately I couldn't find our wd40. For whatever reason it was with the tubes of greases and glues, and not our sprays.
To add to the rest of my gripe, my father came home and somehow pulled it out in less than five minutes when I fought with it for a good hour or so. Didn't fix my problem unfortunately. Now I'm going after the plug under the carpet, see if that's corroded or whatever.

I crawled under the truck and sprayed, air box popped right out after that.

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
Those dang "lean bank" codes. Every time they trip the CEL, I freak out cause I can't figure out what's wrong and worry till I go to a parts store and gave them scan it. Need to fix that..... Sooner or later...... Maybe next year.....

The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
Hopped in it to go to work yesterday and the starter slipped off the flywheel, idk what happened exactly but it cranked a couple turns then the starter made a grinding sound like a manual transmission does. Put key back to off and tried it again, no problem. Hasn't happened since. Really weird.

Had to jump it this morning. I hope it's the old battery and not the old alternator. They are both original. Will test later.

it's probably a battery but there's not really a big price difference between the two.

A battery is much less of a PITA to replace though
Well, it is on the 2.3l duratec. The 3.0 may be different.
