I hate to bring up such an old quote. This happened to me in my previous 2001. Went out while I was getting on to the interstate. I was 16 or 17 at the time. It was one of my scarier moments in my time driving. Even the amount I've driven in 2014.

That it doesn't have 4 wheel ABS. 2 wheel ABS is pointless and stupid.

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
The first one I owned was a 2.3L 96. Low on power, couldn't hardly pull a trailer when you got to a uphill road, second was a 2.5 L, power was a little better, still weak though. Third was a 3.0 L and had almost adequate power. Fourth was a 4.0 L, power almost decent, would have kept it but the 11's were the last year, so I got one of the last 4.0 L available. Love it but for the "new" "limited slip" thing it has. Never had problems with my old ones slipping, this one will slip on wet grass! Ford says press the button, but it still sucks. They say it works as designed. All five of my rangers have averaged 20 mpg, no matter what motor size. Go figure!
And Yes, I loved all the rangers other than the fact I can't get a newer one, lol.

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
One of my drum brakes clunks and my dang front bumper hasn't lined up right since I got the New Guy. I switched his old rusty grey one he had with the good chrome one off my 93, but it still hangs a little low }:O97
Also, 93 bumpers don't bolt up right with 97 factory fog lights? WTF?

The supports are probably getting ready to rust out. And check to see if there isnt any of the self adjuster springs in there. 3.0 did that when they rusted out.
