are you using ford sensors. If not then you are making a huge mistake

I'm not a mechanic and I've never had to take my truck to the shop. Maybe if you spent a little time researching you could fix it yourself.
Don't say rangers are crap because you're incompetent to change a sensor

X2 buy a repair manual they sell them at autozone for $30 bucks or less I bought mine a few years ago and I loved it until I lost it somewhere. Definitely take a look into it. They are based on a complete tear down and rebuild.

If you want to do stuff yourself, and not pay for everything to be done for you, get Ford's shop manual, not Haynes. I got mine off of ebay, but I know for a subscription price you can get them online also. I just prefer paper for stuff like that.

I've run into too many inaccuracies in the Haynes to ever recommend them. Back when Chilton started them, they were good. Now I would never waste my money on one.

I hate that even after dumping so much into everything else, I still have a grumpy motor/sensors with 170k on them.

What motor? It would help if you updated your signature to give us more info about your truck.
