As well as using rubber bushings, non-greasable ball joints, not using standard coil-overs like other manufacturers do, not putting cruise control as standard equipment, as well as many other things that make Rangers a PITA.

Yeah mines an XL. Trying to make the best of it.
My truck is in the category where power steering would be considered a luxury basically. Haha

Yeah all bushings should be navy blue polyurethane material straight from ford, suspension bushings, body mounts, steering rack bushings, under the hood bump stops, door bump stops, everything. Frieken cheapeskates, it is all greeed from all auto manufactures, make the most profit from parts that just get by or simply do the job during warranty.

Same here. I don't have power windows/door locks, A/C, airbags or cruise control. I do have power steering and 2 wheel abs though lol.

Oh I know that feeling. My first Ranger had nothing. Not even power steering. I'm lucky the damn thing even had a drivers airbag.

I hate that ford thought 112hp was enough for a pickup truck.

The 4 cyl 5 spd Ranger XLs were like 13-14k new. If you wanted a lot of that stuff you could have bought an FX-4 instead of the base model XL that is more suited as a fleet truck. I don't really see greed on the part of Ford anyway- I have an XL and it is a solidly built, simple rig that fits 31s stock and gets upwards of 25mpg.

I only really hate that I have the regular cab and I don't have four wheel drive. If I had both of those things I would absolutely love my ranger. It's still going strong at 335,000 miles!

Not on 2wd Rangers, like my 98 the hub, bearing, and rotor are a non serviceable unit, and must be replaced. The best price I've seen so far is $80 for the set.
