With two straps on each bike one on the frame and one on the handle bars. The strap on the frame pulled the bike down.

Only having a 2.3 hahahaha I want to be able to trailer mine and a buddies sled so we can go snowmobiling 2-3hrs north of here, but I'm not sure if the 2.3 can handle a trailer and two sleds while accomplishing above 15mpg and not grenade the tranny! It's all stock and only getting 19mpg as is right now..

Depends on the trailer and sled weight. I believe the max trailer weight for a 2.3 is 1,500? But don't quote me on it lol

You want to tow all that, mileage is the least of your issues...

I mean the sleds are only 4-500 a piece and about a 350lb trailer... So I'd be towing 1200-1400lbs or so.. Just would like to know if that would be a problem for my truck? The bed would also have prolly 100lbs in gear/clothes as we'd prolly stay a couple days over break.. I don't want to over run the ranger but it sure would be nice to be able to use it for this.. Any input?

First do you have a hitch? And if so what kind of drive is it? Hilly flat or a mix?

Keep RPMS low and cruise. And you should be good on gas mileage but the weight is what gets me.

absolutely no problem towing that. My 3.0 towed a 1400 pound boat this summer, and I honestly couldn't even feel it behind my truck even with 3.45s (so until I re gear I pretty much have the power of a four banger), so I would have no doubts about a 2.3 to win that.
