The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread

Last night my dash lit up like a Christmas tree. Check engine, airbag, and brake. Coincidentally, now when coming to a complete stop my brake pedal loses feel and so do my brakes. Bust out another $500, I am sure.

You guys have never driven an f-100 with the original horn, I used it twice, the first time I thought there was a Honda honking at me and the second I realized it was my truck. I guess the sound fit since it did have a flower pattern headliner.

I hate the fact that short drives are giving me f-100 mileage.

Not something I hate about my truck, but I hate it when people with a manual transfer case and manual tranny say they have a twin stick, which is almost everyone that has that combo.

That's not what a damn twin stick is. Irritates me lol.

Yep. Twin stick is seperate shifters for the front and rear differentials. Each have hi-n-lo. The front shifter is on the left and the rear shifter is on the right. Might be auto or manual tranny.

Lol, agreed, but 99% of ranger owners dont do the kind of wheeling that requires a twin stick setup.

Pretty sure the phrase "twin stick" isn't in any Encyclopedia. Twin stick can mean whatever the hell somebody wants it to mean.

Typically refers to a twin stick transfer case setup, but I understand what people mean when they say twin stick.

Whats sad is that the combo used to not be special in trucks, was standard in my old toyota. But with electronically shifting tcases and autos its no longer the norm

they never claimed twin stick transfer case. I like offroading and never knew about a twin stick transfer case.

X2 my first truck had it and I never had a problem with it.

And I had never heard anyone reference a manual trans and t case as a twin stick til I read it on here. I knew what a real twin stick setup was though
