Both my caliper bracket bolts were seized with rust. Mapp gas, pb blaster and the breaker bar didn't work so I hacked the bracket to pieces and bought a new one. Only 20 bucks

No matter what. There is always going to be a part in the project that doesn't go as planned. Usually involves a rusty bolt or a part that doesn't fit.

Took the front left caliper off to inspect it. I've been having trouble with the truck pulling to the right quite severely when braking. The front right caliper was completely replaced, and I regreased the slide pins and stuff when I installed it (didn't come with a new bracket, unfortunately). My suspicion is that the left caliper is sticking so well that it isn't grabbing the rotor properly, leaving the right brake to do all of the work.

The pistons looked to be unevenly pressed, but that could've just as easily been the light angle. It was pretty late, so light was 100% artificial and overall scarce. I went ahead and greased the slide pins though. Still pulls to the right when braking. Probably gonna tackle the pistons next. I'll be replacing the lines with SS-braided in the near future, so I'll probably rebuild it and paint everything while I'm at it. And if that doesn't fix it...hell, I dunno. Proportioning valve? Given how new it is, I'm reluctant to point any fingers at the right caliper yet.

I used a sawzall and a cutting wheel on the angle grinder. The bolts thread into the bracket so once I got the bracket into two pieces I cut the bolts between the bracket and the steering nuckle. The heads of the bolts popped rite out after the bracket was removed

Everytime I start it up there is this loud crackling noise and I have no clue what it is. Only does it on start up and lasts about a second or so. I was told it was something with the AC and to not worry about it

.

Possibly the wheel speed sensor? My brakes were doing some weird stuff and after I replaced the sensors, all was well. Never threw an ABS code
