It came out to about 15.5 MPG. Why do you say miles per tank mean nothing, my Ranger is my DD & if I can go to work & back every day & some running around during the week on a tank of gas that means a lot to me. Maybe it doesn't matter to you.

You misunderstood. MPG is the calculation, so, for instance 'my ranger gets 16.7 MPG'. Miles per tank vary, and I fill-up close to 1/2 tank or when I feel the price is right. So, I may travel 200 miles one week but 125 the next. Neither miles traveled is an accurate computation of MPG. I have to calculate how much fuel I actually used to determine M P G.

hahaha. You are running circles around one sentence.
----------
I think what you're looking to say is Miles per tank varies based on how much gas you put in the tank? I think that's obvious.

Yes Mike I misunderstood what you were trying to say. I will take the total miles driven in 1 week & divide into it the amount of gallons it takes to fill my tank, MPG for that tank full. Some weeks if I just go to work & back it is 210 miles, if there is some other errands run besides it will be around 220-225 miles per week, & for "me" 1 tank full per week is good "for me". The last few weeks it has averaged 14.5 - 15.0 mpg.

I figured you were different than the typical 'I only get 140 miles per tank: what am I doing wrong' poster. Most people today don't seem capable of figuring out MPG.

The location of the transmission cooler and cooler lines. What the hell were they thinking? Can't do lights behind grille, and the lines are at the very bottom edge of my valence just begging to get snagged and broken.
