Just wanna punch the guy that came up with that idea in the face! Whew... ok I feel better now.
And yes I know it can be shut off but it automatically comes back on at 40mph.

My F150 has it too but I've heard it's defeatable. ...havent had a chance to test it yet

And then when it loosens it spills all over the starter motor and everything. Then installing a new one is like "why the FUCK is it on such a weird angle fucking fuck this stupid fucking thing fuck you..." Yelling through a face full of tire...lol

Been there done that.
I always get at it from the bottom..
And yeah its so stupid...putting it over the starter so it gets covered in oil.
Hmm lets see...lets drench oil all over the starter and the positive and negative cable connections...yeah thats not a fire hazard!

Well I can shut it off if I'm wheelin or sliding around but for standard roadway use it kicks on. I would love to find a way to just kill it

It runs better with the CEL on than it does when it doesn't realize there is a problem. *facepalm*. Stupid POS. gonna order parts tonight to fix the intake manifold gaskets and the valve cover gaskets.

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
What do you call a seatbelt retractor that doesn't retract? Cuz that's what I hate today.
Tomorrow I'm going to hate the weak and worn out gas struts on my topper glass that I haven't gotten around to replacing yet.
