Not as bad as I've seen. If you don't care about looks you could prob grind and seal it with POR-15 now

I was able to eliminate the tiny amount of rust on my tailgate (inside, not visible from outside) by simply sanding + wire brush, then primer, paint, and clear coat (all aerosol cans). Did all prep work but didn't worry about hard lines from taping and it actually came out really good (rust hasn't come back through the paint).
As for my doors... They're completely f'd. I tried hitting one door with primer and rust paint after spending hours sanding/wire brush/grinding with flap wheel.... Check a week later and the rust is damn back through the 'rust paint' like nothing. They're just way too corroded. Can't see it from the outside yet luckily unless you know it's there and are looking for it... They won't last the life if the truck though so maybe after it get's worse I'll go the hard road and cut basically the whole bottom of the doors (both, maybe even rears as they have a similar issue) and weld in new metal

You can use a wire wheel or a flap wheel (sand paper flaps). You can also sand it by hand.
Yours is not nearly as bad as mine, it should be saveable.

That extremely heavy corrosion wasn't going anywhere... Hell once I got down to it 80 grit sandpaper wasn't even scratching it anymore...

I hate that little spider that climbed behind my dash glass and died in front of the automatic shift indicator, and that I'm too lazy to take it apart to get him. Sure am tired of looking at him though.

My truck had to go into the shop because my ABS light came on.
