I feel you. I debated rebuilding mine or buying a new one... couldn't part with it. I wanted to so many times but I just couldn't

They're such great trucks. I love mine aside from the nit-picky shit lol just wait till ya take a gal to the drive in with it or when u start really modding it out. You'll know its really all starting to come together when you can't walk away from it without lookin back at it. Yeah the thing ain't no powerstroke, but they're still great little truck and I'll drive it over a ricer anyday.

Re: The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
Well it's running good and all, so I can't complain there, but goddamn is it slow. The ol' 2.3l needs to be wide open throttle to have some fun, and with the mileage I have on mine it's probably not going to take a lot more abuse.
Also the open diff out back is annoying too. I don't want it fully locked but a LS would be nice.

Check out throttle cable mod and dual spark plug mod. Also any normal routine maintenance helps restore a little power in the old motors

Turning radius. Small parking lots around here make me feel like I'm driving a semi sometimes. It's not really the trucks fault though, I'm just use to the my miata's that's something like 3 turns lock to lock.

The "what do you hate about your Ranger today" thread
Bottoms of doors and tailgate seam on the inside. None is it is visible yet from the outside. I suppose its not bad for a 10 year old wisconsin truck. The po lived in texas until a few years ago and it looks like it wasnt driven in winter. No chassis rust at all. Not even surface rust. After this winter though, that will change.
