Someone would have to have access to a police computer to run your plate number to find out any info. It is unlawful for a police officer to willing give out that info.

I agree too. Police officers have to keep any kind of information like that confidential and do not reveal it to the public. No one cares about a bunch of letters and numbers that they will forget about anyways. It doesn't matter if you block it out or not.

Some people do it so that someone cant put a new number on their license plate like photo shop and try to sell their vehicle. Some people are stupid like that and would do something like that. I dont car personally cause my truck isnt worth millions it is to me but not to a whole lot of other people lol But if your like every other paranoid person go a head and block it out

There are a lot of states you can go to the dmv and give them the plate number and they will give you the info. Some states require you provide a reason, ie. such as an accident, before they'll provide the info. Not all states are the same.
