I always assumed vehicle names were earned. The first vehicle I ever owned was a 1986 Ford Topaz, which my grandma gave me. Its name was "The Torpedo". Why? Because we all assumed it would explode on impact. My second ride was a brand new 96 Ranger Stepside 2.3l 5 speed manual. Its name was the Lone Ranger. Because, I was the only one in my group of friends with a ranger. My 3rd ride an 2003 S10 never really had a name other than the one it was given by GM. My current vehicle is still new to me, so its waiting to be named. They have to earn their name or its meaningless.
