I know this has nothing to do with miles. I have a question what is considered a 4 door ranger? Is it the two full doors and then two half doors? Like this? Or is this considered two door?

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger with a 4.0 in it with a 5 speed manual transmission. It has 4 wheel drive also along with a step side bed. Every thing is stock so far lol!

2004 xlt flareside 78.000 FOrd put a short block in it at 26,000 in 06
Zero problems since ,Only replace brakes and tires..

Hey, I’m new here and I need some help. I just bought a 2009 Ranger 2.3l 5 speed manual with 61k miles. It was running fine but a little rough so I cleaned the throttle body and IAC and when I put it all back on and began to drive it , I would press the clutch in and it would Rev up to 2000-2500 Rpm and go back down once I put it into the next gear. I unplugged the IAC and the problem went away so I figured that was the issue. So I went and bought an after market IAC and replaced it.

Once I put it on I drove around with it plugged back in and it continued to happen. So I unplugged the new one and the issue went away again.

So my question is did I just get a bad aftermarket part and should I just keep warrantying it until one works or is it something else.

I have checked for vacuum leaks and found nothing and I have cleaned the MAF and replaced the TPS.
