Not me. I like the small truck concept that you get from the Ranger.

This. I drove a fleet vehicle. 7k oil changes and absolutely no preventative maintenance.

I worked for the city of leesburg dept of public works and they used F150s and Rangers exclusively. The fleet manager is a good friend and he called BS when I sent him the link to your "problem everyday" post.
He did note a rare plug "spitting" on the 5.4, but only one engine in the flleet did that but the warranty covered it.
Problems every day isn't truthful. The only bad thing he said was that the 5.4 equipped trucks were horrible on fuel economy and changing plugs was almost an 8 hour job.

You all don't know how strictly the owners ran the company, the person who was in charge of the mechanic shop would fire people if they didn't come in with their vehicle to get serviced and maintained on a regular routined basis.and the give mechanics I worked with (who all had 30+ years experience in the field) all hated the motor because of the constant problems. When I was gonna buy my first vehicle the truck driver told me there was an 05 f-150 extended cab for sale with only 120,000 miles for $3,500. And the truck was in near perfect condition. I asked all the mechanics at the shop if out was a good buy and they all said hell no because the engine is so unreliable they didnt know anyone who had an f-150 who's engine made it past 160,000 miles before needing a rebuild or replaced. Instead they told me to buy a ford ranger which I still have to this day.

Had a 98 F150 with the 5.4. Only issue was the damn exhaust manifold leak.

My first car I drove was a beast with the Triton. My family hauled many heavy ass trailers/campers on long trips. It didn't have a problem at all. When it was getting close to 200k miles it started to lose some compression but for how hard we worked that thing. I'm pleased. Traded in for more fuel efficient car when my dads small business needed more of a town car because we use freight services now.
