Default 1994 XL find of a life time

Greetings

Have had the truck for 4 days now, took it out to the farm roads today.

Not going to win any races when I mashed the pedal, but it scooted along as it should.

Solid ride, hands off the wheel, stays straight, it feels right to me.

I think this is a good thing, for once in my life, a used vechicle purchase
has gone right.....

The ranger shall now and for evermore to be known as "T"

Trish, is the other thing that has been right in my life.

T has almost 20K miles and was born in 1994, Yes those who drive their cars/trucks to church and the bank every week do exist.

Any feedback as how not to screw this vintage ride, please speak up.

My next move will to get lucas oil into it, and replace gas and air filters.

And check coolant protection.

Wow, 20k miles on a 20 year old truck. I'm impressed!
But.... I don't see any pics in this thread yet!

no offense, but i doubt a 19 year old ranger has only 20,000 miles. or even only 120,000 miles.
nobody would only drive a truck 1,000+ miles a year.

Just my opinion but don't put Lucas oil products in it. One way to start not screwing it up

We had a grand marquee come in for trade.

1986, 54,000kms. thats 33,480 miles.

Also knew a guy with a porsche 911 turbo, 2001. had 8,900 miles on it.

They exist, and they are sought after when they turn up.

----------

best way to not screw it up.

leave it stock, oil changes at 5K miles, regular maintenance. Dont hack apart a 94 with 20K on it.

I would be suspicious of a 20 year old truck with only 20,000 miles. The chances are great the engine has had condensation build up inside due to lack of use and getting up to temperature to burn it off.
I would rather have a 20 year old truck with 150,000 miles on the odometer.

One of my neighbors when I was growing up drove to town once a week, 2 miles round trip.

Hey, if the carfax report shows 20,000 miles, then the OP found a hell of a truck!

Carfax is extremely unreliable as far as mileage goes.
