Gems are out there fellas. My 94 that I picked up this spring had 67,000 miles on it and NO RUST anywhere. That's saying a lot coming from the rust belt of PA! Underneath the body and frame looked like U just bought it, has all the original undercoating!!! Heck mine still has the original tires that were recalled yrs ago and they are nearly 100% tread!
No wiggle or waddle anywhere, very tight! I got lucky! The former owner never drove it in winter and parked it inside the whole time. He passed away in the late 90's and the truck was inside since. His son sold it to me. All I did was replace the motor on the transfer case and replace the shocks. Here she is the day I picked her up.

Tire pic!

I bought my 94 when it had 2 on the odometer. Too bad whoever had that XL with 20K didn't buy one more like I had, all loaded, XLT 4WD and all that, preserved vehicles might as well be the upper model all decked out, preservation is about the same for base or top. Like buying a new car with intended future value, why buy a plain hardtop Corvette when you should be buying the best performance package AND especially a ragtop model.

As for the odo being five digit for 94, that's a yes and a no. I have seen unmolested ones that were five digit; might had 6 right out the door. FWIW, I believe that 93 may also be like this.

Here's my 94 XLT thats all original an like new in an out. (paint original) But mine is a 4 cyl, 5 spd, 2 wd with around 140,000 an a 6 digit odometer on it.

Mine was a fair weather truck, not drove in the winter or rain unless caught in it. Almost all the miles was highway miles between 1994 an 2010 when I got it. Was traded in on a new 2010 Ranger just like it.

Underneath looks almost as good as the top side. Interior has some wear on the top of the door panel where you lean your arm out when the window is down, an a 1" crack in the flat spot above the glove box in the dash. I just bought a molded dash cover in cut pile carpet an fixed that.

I did put new headlights in it (yellowing) an new clear front turn signals last week. 15x7 Ultra wheels an new tires also
