Thanks I will make a note of that, I have started a file of things that I have gleamed off of this site.

I've learned plenty from my F-ups in decades past, I'd rather learn from your oops now, as well as your jobs well done ...... but, I know there is a gremlin out there with my name on it.....

[QUOTE=chris72495;1307033]My 94 has 6 digit odometer and its stock

Mine has a 5, posted a pic of the 20k event in Ranger Pics under glo 94xl nw ohio.

Been reading many reviews of this truck all over the web, not a lot of down side remarks.

Seems that for once I was in the right place at the right time to pick up this gem.

I would rather have a 20 year old truck with 150,000 miles on the odometer.
x2

That would be my problem with it. Also, just because it has 20,000 miles, doesn't mean its like a new car that'll last at least 50,000-100,000miles without any problems. Seals/Gaskets/Etc will still breakdown over the 20years it has sat. So your still going to have problems in the future.

do u have any proof it doesnt have 120xxx? nice clean truck but some owners can make a hig mile truck look new still, my 94 has a 5 digit odometer and says 45xxx im pretty sure its 145xxx maybe even 245xxx but no major problems, normal ford steering box is alittle loose and little ps and oil leak nothin major, ive owned my for about a year and its been really dependable i put my through hell n back when i take it off roading and still makes a decent daily driver! i know there are vechiles out there with low miles, my 93 f250 6 digit digitial odo only has 65xxx, im the 2nd owner and are good friends with the 1st owner lol

That was my fear as well, I inspected all engine rubber and all looked to be in good shape
.
Today I transported a motor head that has been a life long friend of my wife's family.

After we were done with our errand he asked me to pop the hood and he looked for a long time and then told me... I done good.

The Mazda M50D has three rubber plugs on top of the tranny right behind the stick shift. They may leak fluid after high mileage or very rarely after changing tranny fluid. If you don't have this tranny (or have an auto) then you wont have this problem. Easy way to check is to get under your truck and look for ATF fluid leaking on the tranny.

Edit: ^the person above me posted first, I was trying to find that link (its saved on my desktop) but couldn't find it on google when he posted -.-

First Gremlin showed up.

It was the cabin temp control adjustment, it jammed.

removed the ash tray and case and sprayed all the linkages with Ballistol and everything freed up, wiped down everything I could with the coated paper towel and reinstalled.

Works like new.

I'm gonna like working on this truck.

Passed 1k miles, all fluids changed, 3 inspections and all three inspectors agree with the odometer. There is just not a 120k of wear anywhere.

Running strong with no leaks. next upgrade is a new radio and speakers.

Very pleased

My mom's boyfriend has a 1991 Mustang with only 300 miles on it.

He also has a 1986 Camaro with only 4k miles on it.

Both he bought new and literally never drove them except when he moved.

I really want to buy that damn Camaro from him...
