Almost ready to do the full length center console swap (pics)
Got a bunch of parts together to do the full length explorer console swap. I have the shorty right now but have been wanting to do this mod for a while. Just waiting on one last part, my custom shift boot from RedlineGoods.com. Oh and most importantly my truck lol. Its at the body shop getting some work done to repair damage from a recent hit and run. Can't wait. I've done a bunch of reading up on past threads from members who have also done this mod so I'm hoping things go smoothly. Any tips or pointers you guys care to offer in the meantime?
Anyway, onto the pics. (Sorry for the blurriness)
Console from a junkyard explorer. Its in pretty good shape and cleaned up nice. Had to order a console lid from ebay because none of the junkyards in my area had no good lids. The lid is easily a 9/10. Also, cleaned and plasti dipped the shift bezel and cup holder sections. I think they came out really nice and have a sweet textured look. Hopefully it holds up nice and strong.
Even blocked off the hole for the explorer e-brake handle.
And one of my favorite parts to the mod. NOS FX4 shifter and old school hurst shift knob.
Ill update the thread when I make more progress.

FYI this is not an e-brake handle spot. ebrake for explorers is also down by the feet like our rangers. it is a place to put your tissue paper in lol no joke. stupid idea IMO.. but i have red leds in there that glow at night cause i couldent think of anything else it was useful for

Pull out the coin holder and the slim square tissue box drops in it
