Default Duel fuel tank problem (switch)

Hi I'm Mike in AZ and I have a question about the duel fuel tank switch on a 1988 Ranger with extended cab. I recently had the fuel pump replaced and now my switch for changing fuel tanks will not work. If anyone knows anything about this I would really like to hear from you. Thanks!

There's a solenoid to switch the tanks, NOT just the switch on the dash.
Not sure where the solenoid is, but I was told that could be the culprit to a faulty switch-over switch.
