Ok, but when I was shifting the veh. when I thought that I was in a particular gear it wasn't. and it was a struggle to shift it. my previous ranger didn't have this problem. but then again it was a manual. anyway I just purchased a 1998 f150 manual in very good shape. thanks for the respondses anyway. now to find a f150 forum
