I wouldn't have had to think twice about that deal.... Hell no..

I would never trade my ranger for just about any "car"... Unless it was a compairable costomized truck that's had some TLC its whole life!

I would never trade my truck for a neon - or any other car for that matter- , however I owneda 96 neon for 10 years with very little trouble, after replacing the head gasket, that is. Did that in the first year. two years old when I bought it, with 98k kilometers on it (nearly 60,000 miles) I drove it for seven years, taught my wife and my daughter to drive stick in it, hen gave it to my daughter, who drove it for 3 more years. Aside from the head gasket, I replaced ball joints, one wheel bearing, a pair of front calipers, and a pair of rear struts. the rest was tires, exhaust and brakes/ bulbs--just maintenance items. My daughter finally replaced it with another car. she drove it to the boneyard with 339,550 km on the clock, which had quit working about 6 months previous. not bad for a pile of junk, eh ?
