ya i have a 4wd ranger but when your driving normal in 2wd and the roads wet i fishtail all over all the time. its probably because of my off road tires(not good on anything but dirt) It sucks. do you have the same problem?

Yes it is weight and towing lol. But up here in Canada F250s you have to order them, dealer ships mainly sell F350s for a few grand more. Thats the only one people truly run in the oilpatch up here is F350's also if I remeber the F350 has a higher ground clearance compared to a F250 I could be wrong.

o ok thanks for clarifying. If you had the money would you rather have a ranger or a superduty?

I love my Ranger it does hold setimental value I would no part with it. If I had the cash i would get a Super Duty it can hall more than my Ranger and my Ranger is not worth taking a beating.

GreyGhost have you had to change out your ball joints on your Ram 2500 those trucks are bad for having a light front end and bad ball joints. Your truck does look nice with the plow.

I've only had the truck for 2-3 weeks so far and i love it. the previous owner said he hasn't has any trouble with it. don't really know if he replaced anything but it seems nice and tight so far. and it's the 2500 hd cummins.

I wouldn't put a plow on anything smaller than a 2500. Anything smaller isn't designed for that much of a load. The only way I would put a plow on a Ranger is if I was plowing my driveway and my driveway only.

It helps to live in a state that gets about 1/2" of snow every 20 years

I also have a plow on my ranger, its a sno-way 6'8 predator. I would like to think that the pre '97 ranger is best for this. I don't know if I'd trust IFS and CV joints for front axles, at least the TTB can take the abuse. Its also alot easier to install a leveling kit for the added weight. You can buy really tough U-joints, I dont think you have the same option on a CV axle...IDK...? tho, never had any CV axles.

I did alot of custom fab work on my setup tho. All in all I have about 1,500 into everything, fabbing up the mount, building bumpers and lights bars, Plow lights, etc..
