320 lbs. all-purpose sand, 4x 80 lb. bags neatly wedged between the wheel wells. Already slipped once on an icy overpass without any weight…no ice since I added the weight though!

I live on a mountain full of guys that drive lifted F-350's, there must be at least 15 of them and if it even sprinkles snow they come out of the woodwork and cruise the strip. I'm pretty sure they are all Volunteer Firefighters too, I think I'm covered.

I put three (3) 20"x30" patio stones in the back and they fit perfectly flat from front to back. They don't slide around. I think they are 100 lbs. each.

I usually carry about 100-150 pounds of sand in the back, keeps me going just fine
i also keep a shovel in the truck box just in case, have only needed it once because i was being dumb

thats a good thought though to make sure you use sand instead of salt

I threw 2 100lb tractor weights on the back and put a board right behind the wheel wells so they wouldn't slide, might attach a board to go over top of them so it looks a little cleaner.

180# of sand in mine. I need to make a rack to hold them in place yet. I'm thinking of making a modular platform so that the whole bed is flat. It would make it easier to load and unload stuff and protect the sand bags from damage.

I dont let my tank go below half in the winter and i bought 4 sand bags that weigh in around 85-100 pounds each which are in now out of the bags because they were to messy and put into a tub with a lid for storage. And i have wood going across the bed so the tubs dont move around..there right over my axle more directed to my tail gate.

I actually havent needed them yet since the traction control works wonders

about 125-150lbs of rock in back, handmade bed divider is there, so it don't slide, plus it's wedged between the wheel well and the tailgate at the side of the box, and i don't let the fuel drop below a 1/4 tank any time, but it's usually 1/2 or more. It's done just this winter and last for being two wheel drive. New tires next year should make it even better.
