(don't let me de-rail thread please) but why would ford stop making rangers?

I think of the lariats being the platinum edition f-150 before it was called a platinum (started in 09s if im not mistaken), but platinums have difference trim and features. I personally think lariats are nicer than king ranch (maybe cause I now own one? haha). King Ranch's I believe, correct me if i'm wrong, are really only cosmetically different than lariats, same basic options just nicer genuine leather whereas the lariats have memory seats with basic pleather. other differences I noted were like different gauge clusters and radio bezel/trim. king ranchs are more expensive than lariats, so by that criteria theyre "better."

and from what im told its called "king ranch" because the leather comes from "king ranch cows" ? idk idc the platinum def has a gauge cluster..If u dont love that ford block smashing into concrete u def aint from down here!!! everytinf one comes into the shop i watch it a few times

Personally there is not many newer vehicles I like, the newer rangers aren't bad but just the way new cars look just turn me off. But I hope the best for you and the truck you pick next! haha
