well i have been looking for a cap since i sold my old one..found one close wrong color but whatever. is the 300 he wants decent..its in great shape. and i would paint to match my truck.

i paid 40 for mine, it needs painted and new gas shocks for the hatch... i would not pay more then 100... but then it depends on where you live there are a ton of caps for sale here in the Pittsburgh area..

Unless it's gold plated, I'd find another. I gave $125 for mine, and could have done better.

Fiberglass toppers are $800+ over here. A used top in good to excellent shape $300-$400 is fair.
The only way anyone will find one cheaper is a POS, beat all to hell one.
I have a 5 year old Leer on mine and if someone offered me $125 for it, that would tell me that the person is broke or just being a jerk.

I bought mine for $185-off Craigslist- (then sold my vinyl snap-on tonneau cover for $85). The camper shell was off a 2000 Ford Ranger, and the harvest gold color was a close match to my Arizona beige, but no cigar. It's in great shape--all glass and screens are good, paint's excellent, latch works and locks and came with 2 keys, struts work on the back hatch, clean inside, and I wired up the 3rd brake light and interior light which work. Had to drive 120 miles to get it and was prepared to hammer the price down, but seller and I got to talking, and I found out he'd done 2 tours--one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, and just gotten home---so I forked over the $185 and thanked him for his service.

Come look at mine and tell me that. My top is a Leonard and one of the latch tabs is bent slightly. Still works perfectly and looks great.

Deals are out there. Honestly if you can't find one in the right color, get one with faded paint and use it as a bargaining tool. If you keep it, you may get it repainted in the future. Either that or $1100 for a new one.

P.S. mine was being advertised for $150.
