Exclamation Wear Gloves :)

Wearing gloves is a MUST for oil changes (and any ob where oil gets on you) as used oil is a known carcinogenic... Yup causes cancer!

So don't be a macho man and get oily hands - be a live healthy man and wear gloves.

And before you ask - yes I do know what I'm talking about (I have taught at the UK Ford college)

Lol i dont think a little oil on your fingertips during a 15 minute oil change is gonna give you cancer.
So many people are afraid of their own shadows these days.

Nice video....great job with it....
a few quick pointers:

1. don't use old oil on the oil filter ring, use some new oil..
2. pour some new oil into the new oil filter then put it on, so you wont have a dry start.
3. make sure to let the old oil drain out as much as possible out of the engine....

just my pointers...
but great job really!

Ok so your'e going to get "skin cancer" from getting a little bit of oil on you from doing many oil changes over the length of your life?

Oh and the SUN causes cancer, so don't go outside...

Oil is also a lubricant.....like grease.....that helps reduce friction between moving parts....oil is also natural, mostly, from fossils, hence the term fossil fuel, and you are just as likely to get cancer from dirt and sand and sun, and second hand smoke, and exhaust fumes, and paint and led and the list goes on and on and on...

personally, heres another thing that causes cancer....worrying so much about stupid stuff that causes cancer... lol

I am a scientist and I agree with that statement... Used oil is a carcinogen! Always use gloves

Thanks! I would fill the oil filter ( I do that in my Vette) but the filter goes in sideways so the oil will just spill out!

So if I smoke a cig while oil is on my hands, do the carcinogens cancel out?

The guys I know say changing the oil filter on their 3.0s is a pain in the butt.....that video made it look easy.
The lift on the truck makes it nice and quick.
Having clean hands takes the fun out of everything
