Default 2002 Ranger 4 cylinder manual - strange noise

I have a 2002 Ford Range 4 Cylinder Manual. It is making a strange noise like a chain is dragging on the ground when I drive slow- 20 mph or less. There is nothing dragging on the ground. I inspected underneath the car and cannot see anything. Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

Steve

sound like you have a brake rubbing, try and find if it is from one side or the other and front or back, and go from there

the noise only happens at low speeds - 25 mph or less. I'd say it is especially noticeable when accelerating.

still have not been able to find a reason, but I will try and drive in neutral and with the clutch down and report back.

OK after further testing, the car does make the sound in neutral when coasting. It also makes it when I am pushing down on the clutch while coasting. Noise is always the same. It does tend to go away when driving above 25 or 30.
