Just asking because on two previous vehicles I have had I installed fog lights myself by wiring them in the same way you wired those in. And neither of my vehicles would pass state inspection because the fog lights I installed were not wired in through relays that would not allow them to be on if the high beams were on. So they had to be totally removed or wired in correctly in order to pass.

Sent from my ADR6400L using FRF App
Every state is different but I know most states here in the northeast say that if you use the lights on the road, you can only have high-beams on or driving lights plus fogs... That is why the high beams shut the fogs off... For my application and for NJ state regulations, I dont need to have them wired to the high-beams.

No, it was just a cubby hole. I used a piece of aluminum I cut and bent and some leftover leather from my center console build... It worked great.

Thanks, it is in a good spot too. I can easily reach it, yet it's out of the way!

It is perfect in the spot it is. I have used it offroad a bunch and it does exactly what I need it to do! Any higher and it will light up too far ahead.
