Default Best mileage for a used Ford Ranger?

Whats the best miles for a used Ford Ranger? I think the Ranger I'm trying to get is between the years of 1989-1992 I'm not sure.

Thanks.

Obviously the lower the miles on the truck the better off you are. Is that what your asking?

Or are you looking at mpg's??

Well ya then i'd take the truck w/ the fewest miles that u find for sale. That is one of the biggest factors that play a role when im buying used trucks/cars. and then you gotta weigh your options of over-all condition and the shape its in. Its pretty much your call at that point

kelly blue book says 10 to 12 thou a year is average and normal wear and tear. but if you get a truck thats well keep up its just a drop in the bucket for a ranger!

The truck has 140,000 some miles on it. The body looks to be in good shape and everything. I noticed the door panel was duct taped so it doesn't come off or something but seems to be an easy fix with that. so now my mom will be calling to see if they can lower the price due to the miles on it. So all I can do is hope.

I saw you were looking at 89-92 Rangers. Be weary on the mileage of those as they do not show 100,000. They just rollover. I was looking at a Bronco, the guys said it had 150,000, found out it really had 250,000.

My mom told me it was an 88 but to me it looked like an 89-92 so I was wrong and it does show the miles on it (I couldn't see it cause of the sun shining in but some how my mom found it lol) thank you for the tip on the actual 89-92 Rangers.

my budget is $2300. I'm not the one with the money my mom is and she wants to see a lower price on it so I don't really know about the offering part. Its a 4wd, 2 door, blue, automatic 1988 Ford Ranger.

The area's around here varies so no clue on the rust salt sorry.

Imho 2300 is a lot for an. 88. It would have to be mint. I saw a one owner. 2004 2wd with. 114k on it in CL last week. It was not a scam

Last week there was a 96 with 100k that needed rerar hangers and shackles for $300

Yeah we are gonna try to get the price lowered on it but the people still need to get it inspected then hopefully I can test drive it .

and if you think $2300 is a lot well there's another ford ranger at a different place with 170,760 miles on it going for $2500 but that's probably because its an 95.

idk its just newer. I'd also have to see the condition of the two and compair how many miles each one has.. Chances are that i'd still settle w/ the newer one
